About

I am a father, husband, certified meditation teacher and pharmacist. I currently serve as the president of Younge Drodul Ling, a non-profit Buddhist organization with foundations in all the lineages of traditional Tibetan Buddhism.

I have practiced and studied the Dharma extensively under the guidance of my root teacher, Younge Khachab Rinpoche, whom I first met in 2004. Under Rinpoche’s direction, I have been leading meditation groups, retreats and teaching classes in a variety of settings throughout the United States. I have also received teachings from His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Lama Tharchin, and Kusum Lingpa among others.

In the last few years Rinpoche has been encouraging me to share these teachings in a more secular way. The Buddhist tradition has a wealth of resources, practices and insight that can truly benefit people’s life and mind. I am dedicated to making these teachings more available and accessible so that others can develop and build their own practice. The journey of self-discovery and awakening is long, but the greatest gift that we can give ourselves is to learn how to be more present, open, and generous, to cultivate a joyful heart and peaceful mind, so that we can transform our own life and make a lasting impact on our world.

The wisdom of this practice tradition allows us to be more human, fully human. It enables us to live a good life and to enjoy our life. As practitioners, we become disciples of experience and follow our curiosity, backing up experience with logic and reasoning. Those interested in going deeper (or off the deep end!) can enter into a more formal Buddhist path.

My goal and aspiration is to give you something that you can take with you on your journey, and that you can continue to work with. Start your practice, support your practice, deepen your practice. That is what we are here to do.

Greg currently makes his home in Seattle, Washington and is committed to supporting and inspiring other practitioners who have dedicated their lives to being more deeply present in the world and are passionate about contributing to our world in the form of compassion, generosity and kindness.
